Police Collusion

Note: This page is a work in progress. Please bear with us; we will update the page as information arrives.

Here is where it starts to get really nasty, and the issues cross over from personality disorders to just plain criminal. As you can imagine, the folks at Linacre College did not enjoy this website, not one bit. They held emergency meetings, panicked, called University Security Services, and called the police. They also tried pleading to the webhost, see principal Nick Brown's disgraceful attempt to discredit former students, cast as a scapegoat by the college, in order to blame them for the website and have it removed. (He failed, needless to say.)

The police inititally did not give the issue much credence. The website, along with the groups of protesters standing outside the college were considered an expression of free speech.

That was not good enough for the college. So they hired a dirty solicitor, Martin Bourne to help them collude with the police. Documents show that he actually called up various detectives in the Thames Valley Police, "shopping around", in order to find one who would take the case. In a letter dated 6 July 2017, he talks to Detective Louis Thurman, discussing a conversation about the issue. What strikes out is their usage of the word "fit", as though they are trying to shoehorn the situation into some sort of "crime", anything that will "fit".

Later in the letter, he says:

He says "no Magistrate that I can think of", which is a wink and a nod suggesting that he knows all of the Magistrates and they would judge in his favour, as long as the boxes are ticked as he prescribes.

And finally, he makes his demands. Because what is a salesman without the ask:

This, ladies and gentlemen, is how you can buy the police, in 21st century Britain. When they don't do what you want them to, just hire a lawyer to call them up and make it "fit".

Detective Charlotte Dunford of the Thames Valley Police was assigned to the case. Within days, they executed numerous arrests on innocent students -- but contrary to Bourne's assurances, the court ruled non-guilty verdicts on all charges.

As they failed to get any convictions, they then tried to settle with restraining orders. The college recruited corrupt prosecutor Tina Flannery of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), in order to pursue this. Here was the Crown's illegal demand for a restraining order:

But wait, weren't they complaining about being harassed and upset? Why are all the demands about saving face and censorship? It seems at this point they forgot that they were meant to pretend to be scared and sad. Note that a restraining order is a legal construct meant to protect a victim from harm, not protect a corrupt organisation from reputation damage. Furthermore, a restraining order (as indicated by its name), can only apply negative conditions, things that cannot be done. This bizarre demand for a forced confession is immoral and illegal.

As you can see, the lights are on and the site is still going strong. The spectacular amount of time, money, and energy the college wastefully expended trying to get this site removed is a testament to how desperate they are to hide this information. Rest assured we will keep it running...
